Day twenty of the forty-seventh loop
It is the fourth birthday of Misha that he and I are celebrating apart, which is very sad. But it is still a holiday for me—my son was born. I remember his first cry as if it were yesterday, his frightened look at me, his first stream in the direction of the nurse (Misha, sorry for the detail).
At work it was the usual routine—more meetings, plans, reports. In the evening I picked up boards, a soldering iron, and a GPS module from the store. This week I’m going to start building things. I changed the CJON notation a bit, introduced (or rather reintroduced) arrays of objects, and made them optional. I refined the decoder prototype—it became obvious that encoding works better now. I rewrote the Habr article several times, which was good, since it still had not passed moderation. CJON works, though of course I did not invent anything especially new or revolutionary—I simply adapted the format for a specific task, and that is already not bad.
We had mushroom soup for dinner—it really does seem I’m a kitchen genius. Then I went and got a haircut and had my beard trimmed up—instantly looked five years younger. After that I called Misha, who was being driven home from school by Ksyusha. I congratulated my little kitten on the way and distracted him, while at home a surprise was waiting for him—a pool party with friends. I recorded the screen video and it turned out great. Bekka did a wonderful job organizing everything. Misha was happy as an elephant. Then my wife and I finished yesterday’s dumb movie—those stupid comedies are absolutely necessary to stop the stream of thoughts.
The habit of keeping a diary is getting stronger, and I like that. What is especially pleasant is that I am remembering all the most important events, and in the future I’m sure it will be enjoyable for me—and perhaps my children too—to read.
