The forty-fourth day of the forty-seventh orbit
The night before I fell asleep during a movie, and my caring wife tried to drag me under the blanket. I froze, washed up, and managed to fall asleep quickly. In the morning I woke up well rested. I spent a little time studying Hebrew. I’m falling behind in the league and need to catch up somehow or I’ll get stuck at my current level. It is nice to feel that every day I understand the letters better and better. Words, though, are still a problem—my vocabulary is growing very slowly.
I had shakshuka and coffee for breakfast with the girls. An amazing sense of calm—apparently the magnesium and Afobazole have started working. I took Leah to daycare, and the security lady greeted her by saying, “Your sandbox is waiting for you.” Leah has started coming back from daycare every day like a little grub, covered in sand from head to toe.
I sent Nastya a birthday message on WhatsApp. They went to celebrate in Yaroslavl, so the in-person congratulations are postponed again. It is also Marfa’s birthday today, so I sent greetings to Igor and Marina as well. I hope we will meet on the camping trip over the weekend and celebrate properly. The weather cleared up and warmed a little. Not hot, but dry, bright, and the flies were not biting.
In the evening I stopped by the market and bought vegetables and fruit for the camping trip. Tomorrow morning we are heading with the kids to our place of power.
