Day 27 of the 47th loop
I got up as usual a little after 7:30 and had breakfast with Leah. Everything at work was smooth: meetings, routine, and I started documenting capital repair processes for land-reclamation specialists—creative work. On Habr, a lot of serious grown men appeared under my first article and started arguing with me. I really love well-reasoned criticism. After all, as my father taught me, leaving things unsaid draws more information out than endless bluster. My father had a brilliant head on his shoulders. It is a pity I only understand that after so many years.
Language study is steady—16 days without missing one. I have mastered the alphabet and the sounds, and I have started learning words and practicing reading without vowel markings—not easy, but manageable. Oh yes, let me lift the curtain a little: the language I started learning is Hebrew. I wanted a new, beautiful alphabet in my toolkit—one nobody else understands—for secret correspondence with my wife, who already knows Hebrew. That is how unpredictable I am.
On the way home in the evening I chatted with Mishulya, who is visiting Senatobia. Misha was in a good mood, and it was nice to hear. Then I picked up the girls from daycare and headed home via the pharmacy and an Ozon pickup point. Bought medication for myself. I have not taken anything for my blood pressure for a month, and I can feel that I’m doing worse. Apparently it is my cross to take pills for the rest of my life. Old age... My wife bought some beautiful dresses, and now the bedroom closet will not close on her side again. Grrr.
I cooked a magnificent dinner (spoiling my wife): duck in berry sauce, an Asian-style vegetable salad, and sautéed green beans with omelet. I stuffed myself so much at night that I’m ashamed. Later I came across a reel featuring Alexander Zatsepin’s record The Mystery of the Third Planet and could not resist ordering it for myself. I think it is going to be an amazing addition to my collection.
