The eleventh day of the 47th loop
We slept in until 9:30—unheard-of luxury. After breakfast we decided to sort through the big wardrobe in the bedroom. I should never have agreed. We fussed with clothes until lunchtime, though we did end up filling several bags with unnecessary things and trash—a relief. In general, every time I sort through belongings, I get a lot of satisfaction from throwing things away. You realize that this cubic meter of useless junk had been stealing space and air from the apartment.
After lunch we decided to take the girls to the park. While waiting for Masha and Sonya, I went out into the courtyard with Leah. I talked with my son, who is already completely grown up—celebrating five months with Bekka. So sweet. Of the parks, we chose Lefortovo as the nearest and most familiar. As usual, we ate crepes, climbed around the little playhouses, and argued when it was time to go home. My girls have character.
In the evening I rewatched The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed. It is amazing how differently this film is perceived in adulthood.
