Day 102 of my 47th year
In the morning Leia woke me up by kissing me and watching my reaction. Masha made breakfast — porridge for the girls, boiled eggs for us, and I made my favorite mash of eggs and white bread.
Masha and Sonya once again went off to run errands and visit some shopping center. I finally hung Mikhail Romanchuk’s painting “Sukhanovo in Winter” with birch trees in the hallway — I had bought it at auction — and it looks beautiful, though now I need to find proper lighting or replace the hallway lights. Leia and I got ready and went to Lefortovo on her scooter — we had not been there in a while. The weather was cool but dry. Not all the leaves had fallen yet. The park was full of lively squirrels; we saw four of them right away with fluffy tails. We played on the playground a little and then ordered crepes and shashlik at a cafe. We ate outside — delicious.
After that we went home via the market. We bought vegetables and fruit there: three kinds of grapes, a melon, apples, pears, comb honey, greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes. I could barely carry it all. Nanny Katya arrived. Masha came back with Sonya and started trying to drag me out to look at sofas. I do not understand why we need a sofa right now, but she did not want to hear no. We set off to look at sofas, but got into an argument at the very first turn and Masha got out of the car. So I went to the pool instead of the store. I had a very decent swim — 1,100 meters freestyle, a little breaststroke, and then warmed up in the sauna. On the way home I talked with Misha and GN. I had fruit for dinner. Then I cleaned up the kitchen.
I watched a few videos and an episode of that alien TV series. It is starting to annoy me a bit — it does not quite measure up to a really good show. I also received an office action on my patent about data transmission; I am not sure whether I will revise the description or not. Something tells me I did not work the topic through deeply enough.
