Tenant
1. Real Estate and Business
A tenant is an individual or organization that rents or occupies land, premises, or other property under a lease, such as a residential tenant or a commercial tenant.
2. Information Technology (IT)
In cloud computing and software-as-a-service (SaaS), a tenant is a logically isolated customer or organizational environment—such as a company, department, or client—that shares the underlying computing infrastructure while maintaining its own configuration, data, and access permissions. This architecture is called multitenancy (or a multi-tenant architecture). In data storage, a tenant is a separate logical entity used to partition users, objects, or repositories.
