Acrostic

An acrostic is a poetic form in which the initial letters of lines (or certain other letters) form a word, name, or phrase, often concealing an additional meaning, dedication, or riddle. It is a type of poetic puzzle based on the arrangement of letters, in which the reader must “assemble” the word from the initial letters of the lines, as in ancient texts or modern greeting verses.
