The eighth day of that same 47th loop
Today I’m working remotely because I need to get ready and pack for the trip, and also take Leah to Grandma’s.
In the morning Leah and I got into the car and drove to Grandma’s dacha. Leah fell asleep at just the right moment, and I was able to conduct several phone meetings. At the dacha I had coffee with Sveta and Mom, then drove back to Moscow to work.
I almost failed to make it back to the computer at home in time and had to start one big online meeting from the car. Not very convenient, but what can you do. I spent half the meeting in the car and the second half from home.
In the evening I bought cognac as a gift for the business trip and took the bus to Vostochny Station. It turned out to be quite convenient to get there—almost directly from home. I met up with Oleg, and three minutes before departure we boarded the train.
On the train we immediately moved to the dining car so we would not have to squeeze into the compartment. There were a lot of people, and they even seated another man with us. We were traveling in a compartment car, and I slept on the top bunk. The train was comfortable; there was even a decent shower in every car. I tried it before bed—traveling by train is really great now. I slept like a baby!
