Advent Calendar 30
A pleasant surprise today was the publication of our new book about data in agriculture. In the book, I described the product I had been developing at the company throughout the year.
The publication examines the theoretical foundations and global practices behind the emergence of the data economy, the specifics of its institutionalization in Russian agriculture, as well as the architecture and development directions of the agricultural data economy. It shows that data is becoming an independent factor of production, increasing the efficiency of traditional resources such as land, labor, and capital. It includes examples of the emergence of agricultural data markets and information-sharing ecosystems, and describes how the OECD, the EU, China, and other countries approach the regulation of data circulation. It also analyzes Russian institutional conditions: the data economy market and ecosystem in crop production and livestock farming, the role of federal government information systems, and the national project “Data Economy and the Digital Transformation of the State.” Proposed directions for the development of sector-specific data infrastructure include standardization, machine-to-machine reporting, trusted data-sharing mechanisms, cybersecurity, and workforce development.
Coming soon to the publications section of my website.
