An IT Taxonomy

I had an idea for a service that would let you see the entire IT market as a clear, navigable tree. Every field would have its own page with a wiki-style description, links to related fields, definitions, expanded acronyms, an assessment of its relevance and available solutions across industries, the top 10 Russian and international vendors, and market-maturity indicators. The evaluation would use multiple criteria and be updated regularly as new information comes in.
The best feature would be a searchable catalog that helps identify gaps in the market, estimate their potential size, and analyze existing products. It could support product strategy at IT companies, startups, and beyond.
The service could sit on top of any comprehensive taxonomy, such as the “necklace” diagram in the MWS (MTS Web Services) report “IT Market Outlook 2024,” with five or six levels of detail for each category. The team visualized it as circles with nodes connected by countless curved lines. To my taste, it looks impressive at first, but it is almost impossible to make sense of.
Do we need a service like this?
Would you pay the price of a cup of coffee for a monthly subscription?
If yes, hit like.
