Bifurcation
Bifurcation is a qualitative change in the behavior of a dynamical system caused by an infinitesimal change in its parameters. A parameter whose change leads to bifurcation is called a critical parameter (or bifurcation parameter), and the value of that parameter at which bifurcation occurs is called the critical value.
