Day 64 of the 47th year of my chronology

I could barely open my eyes in the morning. All night I had some realistic but incomprehensible dreams. My wife fed me breakfast (again!). I drove Leia to kindergarten and ran into a terrible tantrum: she did not want to wear tights and insisted categorically on shorts or a skirt with nothing underneath. It is no longer July outside, and I could not allow that, so she went straight into hysterics. I more or less managed to convince her, but had to punish her by withholding her traditional candy. In the end she hugged me in the elevator and calmed down on her own.
At work everything was the same as usual — hectic and full of activity. I refined the technical specification for one of the projects a little more.
In the evening we met up with the Nescafe crowd at Beerside, formally to celebrate Yu.’s birthday. There were the Little One with Katya, Dimon, Yu., and Bash. Bash was the solo act. I have always thought that friends are given to us not only for fun, but also to help us orient ourselves and support each other, to show us how things should be done. But yesterday I realized there is another very important component of friendship: showing your close ones how not to do things. It was very warm, heartfelt, and even funny in places, but in other places it was frankly painful and upsetting. Well, we will get through it. Trials are given to us according to our strength.
I got home at midnight and passed out immediately.
