Day 51 of the 47th year of my personal chronology
I got up earlier than usual in the morning, had breakfast with Masha and Leah, dropped Leah off at daycare early, then met up with a colleague and we headed toward the poultry farm in my car.
We spent the whole day with the farm’s staff discussing business processes in poultry breeding—very interesting. Every day I like agriculture more and more; there are so many technical and engineering ideas that can be applied in their work. They gave me some antique wing tags for chicks and hens. I told the farm’s chief breeder about my index, and he liked the idea and even suggested piloting it with them.
In the evening I came back and picked Leah up from daycare with her things—in the future we go back to our regular daycare on September 1 instead of the standby one. Hooray. In the evening we just lounged around at home. Before bed Leah had drawn all over her face with markers, trying to make herself beautiful. Then she cried and apologized, promising she would never do it again. Girls.
