Day 35 of the 47th orbit
I got up at 7:30 in the morning. Felt rested. Took Leah to daycare.
At work we had an online meeting with the deputy governor of one agricultural region, the region’s minister of agriculture, and her deputies. I presented my product, and the response was generally positive—there is interest. I also explained the idea of transmitting data over networks under conditions of limited or no internet connectivity.
I rebuilt the encoder/decoder in line with the new rules and added an option to generate a key dictionary. CJON still wins against CBOR in almost all sample cases. I need to find the time to describe the format formally. Unfortunately, the format has become somewhat less readable because I decided to avoid the ESC-table characters of GSM 7-bit encoding, but compared with binary formats it is still human-readable and can still evolve. I posted an example here: JSON/CJON/CBOR converter.
Today voice calls were blocked in popular messengers, which is very bad. In the evening we finally finished watching The Talented Mr. Ripley on the third attempt, but people with heightened empathy like me really should not watch movies like that. Even knowing how it would end, I still worried about everyone, including Ripley. After that I started reworking the architecture and software approach for the diary, broke the app to hell, got upset, and went to bed.
