The twenty-tenth day of the forty-seventh loop
The night before I stayed up late and did not get to bed until around 1 a.m. I was listening to a lecture about ancient Rome and fell asleep to that. So getting up at 7:30 was hard. After that, the usual routine: breakfast, shower, daycare, work.
Work was very quiet today—all the leadership had scattered to exhibitions, vacations, and meetings. When the cat’s away, the mice will play. Colleagues were walking around laughing, drinking coffee, and the atmosphere was strangely peaceful. By 4 p.m. the office had noticeably emptied out. I wonder why? I am forcing myself not to give in to the general excitement and not to relax—I’m strong, I’m strong...
After work I went to watch Sonya perform at the dance studio she has been attending for only a week. She is a very mobile, graceful, talented girl—she definitely needs to keep doing this. After that we ordered sushi from Tanuki and had a fight with the girls, who cannot eat calmly at the table.
I tested the ChatGPT 5 version. I managed to hard-freeze it, but interestingly, after the update the chat would not wake up immediately; after a good while it would come back to life and produce an already completed answer. It still draws pictures rather poorly. On a simple task it got stuck in a loop and kept drawing me a family of six instead of five, while insisting there were five people in the picture. But it does seem to write code better now. Yesterday evening I had the idea of making a diary app to save structured notes about the day, and it turned into a pretty decent mobile web app. Once I finish it, I’ll publish it.
