Day twenty-one of the 47th loop
In the morning I had a hearty breakfast with Leah and took her to daycare. At work everything is as usual; I’m digging into the BPM Soft engine. An interesting platform—you could use it as a base for all kinds of solutions.
In the evening Vanya K. and I went to the Vorontsov baths. We usually go on Tuesdays. There were quite a few people there. The steam was good. I especially liked the blend of garlic with beer, and mint with juniper. After the mint, you come out with a slight coolness in your body. We had dinner there as well. I liked the summer menu—the “chatter” drink (mineral water, honey, and lemon juice) and profiteroles with morels. It turned out students get a 50% discount. What an idiot I am for not taking advantage of it. As long as my student ID is still valid, I should go again and test it.
On the way home from the baths I talked with Misha. He is all wrapped up in love there and is drifting away from me quite a bit. Entirely natural, and that is okay. Everyone goes through it: there is a period when friends seem more important than family, but as you grow older the balance settles, and both friends and family become equally important.
Sonya met some kids at the playground who turned out to be from a summer dance camp. She became friends with them, went to visit, found out everything, and decided she wanted to go there too. So Masha signed her up for a week. She starts tomorrow. Such an independent young lady. Sometimes that doesn’t even annoy me =)
I stopped by the store and bought groceries. At home my wife and I talked for a long time and did not fall asleep until 12:30.
