Advent Calendar 25
Last year my wife, at my request, gave me an electronics kit — transistors, resistors, and all that sort of stuff. I played around with it, studied it, and in general came to understand how it all works.
But this year I had an idea that required someone who understood microprocessors and their programming. I started looking for such a person, and then suddenly remembered: I am an engineer, I graduated from Bauman — the Russian equivalent of MIT — so surely I can figure it out. And I did. I cannot say everything worked right away, but the fact that I was able to build and program my idea myself feels like a breakthrough. Definitely one of the coolest experiences of 2025.
